Say hello to a boy’s nursery makeover I have waited too long to share with you all! You might remember this sweet girl’s nursery I designed a few months ago for my friend + mentor, Jenny. Melissa and Scott (two of Jenny’s friends) were about a month away from having another boy when she contacted me about their boy’s nursery.
Luckily, similar to Jenny, Melissa has fantastic taste and when we met for her consultation she already selected some great pieces to start building the nursery. It was my job to bring it all together with lighting, wall treatment, accessories, wall art, etc.
Thankfully since we didn’t have too much time to spare with Ryder’s due date right around the corner, the bones of the room were great – pretty crown molding, simple can lighting, gorgeous hard wood floors and white walls.
We started with a mood board to make sure Melissa liked the approach we were going to take on the nursery.
This is what the room looked like before:
We used Sherwin Williams SW 6925 Envy on the ceilings to match the existing tree bookshelf which turned out much better than I expected! At first I was a little nervous to do such a statement on the ceiling. However, I know bold colors and patterns stimulate infant’s sight – so we went for it! I also wanted to add something to the walls that would bring a little warmth to the room…so Stikwood came to mind (we went with the Reclaimed Weathered Grey Wood).
My little model, Ryder, in his crib 🙂 he is too cute!
What do you guys think??

Beautifull! Where did you get the chevron carpet? Thank you!
It was originally my client’s / I think she found it on Joss & Main! 🙂
