There’s something about completing a room that makes my design-loving heart go pitter patter. It’s a great feeling of accomplishment. I recently had the pleasure of designing a nursery for a new friend in Del Mar, California. Jenny Livits is the Founder & CEO of a Wardrobe Design & Styling Boutique called Pink Lagoon.

Jenny was getting ready to have her second little one when she contacted me about getting some design help with her nursery/guest room and other areas of her home. She is a creative, talented and very motivated. Not only has become a business mentor to me but also a good friend. We could sit for hours chatting about how we believe great design can change the world.

Here are some before and after photos of her lovely nursery. Baby Gracey was born just a few weeks ago and they are really enjoying their new space together.

Since Jenny rents her home, we wanted to create a wall treatment that would not give them a headache should they decide to move. (We are keeping our fingers crossed she is one day able to buy the home and then we can redo EVERYTHING). I decided to go with Walls By Mur, my new favorite removable wall adhesive company! As I mentioned in this post, they are all kinds of fantastic and so easy to apply! Plus the team is very personable and helpful!

Jenny’s design style is a mix of modern, rustic and mid-century…she loves a lot of styles and is not afraid to think outside of the box! This is why I love working with her!

The yellow tassle curtains are from Serena & Lily, the shelves from West Elm along with the rocking birds and yellow vase, and the bird art is from The Land of Nod . The pouf and rocking chair are from Amazon and the sheepskin rug is from Pottery Barn. Oh and that amazing orb pendant you ask?? It’s from ZGallerie.

We also had a “big reveal” of the nursery to the big sister of Gracey, her name is Zoey. Her words were, “WOW…oh WOW…” she is such a cutie and a big fan of decorating and was quite a big help when we were installing.
