Something about yesterday really got me in the holiday spirit – maybe it was the light snow flurry or the wreaths with big red bows on a building down our street. I don’t know what it was that got me in the spirit – but, I am ready to buckle down and decorate our apartment! Last year, we were barely moved into our place when Christmas arrived and decided not to go through the hassle of getting a tree or decorating too much.

The other day, I walked by one of the little markets I visit when I need flowers, a few groceries or wine/beer and they had a ton of trees outside! I was SO excited I almost bought one right then and there (in the rain and all)! However, I have seen some gorgeous photos floating around of some tree farms nearby and I really want to visit one if not this year then next.

All of that being said, we are hosting Cody’s office holiday party at our place this year and I am thankful I had my holiday epiphany and can begin putting the details together!
